Details about Apple’s latest model are starting to emerge. The tech giant, known for setting the benchmark in the smartphone world with its iPhone models, is reportedly working on a new series. Historically, Apple has only introduced flagship models and the more affordable SE series. However, it seems that a new series is on the horizon.
iPhone Air to Debut in 2025
Rumors about Apple working on a new smartphone series have been circulating for the past few months. According to Mark Gurman, known for his accurate Apple leaks, the company is developing a new phone that will be called the iPhone Air. Gurman notes that this model will stand out for being exceptionally thin and lightweight. Additionally, he expects Apple to launch the iPhone Air in 2025. Similar to the SE series, this new model is expected to feature standard-level specifications.
Gurman also mentioned that the iPhone Air will share similarities with the standard model of the iPhone 17. The new iPhone Air is anticipated to be priced somewhere between the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models.
Changes in the iPhone 16 Series
Meanwhile, Apple is working hard on the iPhone 16 series. The company has followed a consistent design approach in its recent models, but this is set to change with the new series. The most notable design change in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models will be in the rear camera layout. Instead of the square module seen in previous models, the rear cameras will now be arranged vertically in a “pill”-shaped module.
