Volkswagen Unveils 335 HP GTX Version of ID.7 Electric Sedan

Volkswagen has unveiled the GTX version of its electric sedan model, the ID.7. Equipped with dual electric motors, the new Volkswagen ID.7 GTX not only provides all-wheel drive by adding a motor to the front axle but also boosts power to 250 kW (335 hp). While this power isn’t as staggering as last year’s 550 hp ID.X Performance concept, it still manages to reduce the sedan’s 0-100 km/h acceleration time from 6.5 seconds to 5.4 seconds.

The Volkswagen ID.7 GTX is equipped with up to 200 kW DC fast charging support, enabling the vehicle’s 86 kWh battery to reach from 10% to 80% charge in just 26 minutes, providing a driving range of up to 595 km according to WLTP standards. Despite the performance enhancements, Volkswagen has not made significant changes to the design. The front features IQ.Light matrix LED headlights and a grille with a mesh pattern, while black GTX emblems on the front doors, 20-inch black wheels, and black pillars catch the eye. Inside, red stitching on the steering wheel, seats, console, and door panels, along with GTX embroideries, add a distinctive touch.

The Volkswagen ID.7 GTX will be available for pre-order starting at 63,155 euros in Germany this week.
