He cited the example of “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag”, which was released just a month after GTA 5 and became one of the best-selling games in the Assassin’s Creed series. Additionally, when the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X versions of GTA 5 were released in 2022, Ubisoft games also performed exceptionally well. According to Bain & Company’s financial forecasts, global gaming revenues are expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9% over the next few years. This means that gaming revenues will soar from $199 billion in 2022 to $307 billion in 2027. Major game releases like GTA 6 have the potential to generate billions of dollars in revenue.
