Tragic Shooting Incident in Charlotte, North Carolina
According to sources, a shooting incident in Charlotte, North Carolina has resulted in the tragic deaths of at least three law enforcement officers. The officers were attempting to serve a warrant when the incident occurred on Monday.
A SWAT team entered the house where the shooting took place and discovered the body of one shooting suspect. It is unclear at this time whether the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound or not. Two other individuals who were present in the house are currently being questioned by authorities.
Attempted Warrant Service Turns Fatal
The incident took place in the 5000 block of Galway Drive in east Charlotte. The warrant was being served by a U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force, which consisted of officers from multiple law enforcement agencies. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is leading the investigation into the shooting.
