The new Outlook, designed as a Progressive Web App (PWA), will require users to store their IMAP login information on Microsoft servers.
Timeline of Changes:
The changes will begin with restrictions starting in July and are expected to be fully implemented by September 2024. After this period, users will only be able to view existing emails and calendar entries. The functionality to send and receive mail will be disabled. Additionally, support for Windows Mail, Calendar, and People apps will end on December 31.
