The tech world is abuzz with the leaked performance results of Intel’s next-generation Arrow Lake-S processors. The preliminary CPU-Z test results suggest that Arrow Lake-S could significantly outperform Intel’s current flagship, the Core i9-13900K.
Intel Arrow Lake-S Performance Insights Revealed
Intel has commenced testing its Arrow Lake-S processors, and the performance reports from an engineering sample have leaked online, showcasing promising capabilities. In single-threaded performance, the unidentified Arrow Lake-S processor scored 1143.2 points in the CPU-Z test. This marks a 26% improvement over the Core i9-13900K, which scored 902 points in the same test.

While the full specifications of the leaked Arrow Lake-S ES (Engineering Sample) are not disclosed, the single-threaded result hints that the new Lion Cove P-cores will perform exceptionally well. These cores are anticipated to be more efficient per core compared to the Raptor Cove cores used in the 13th Gen processors.

However, in the multi-threaded CPU-Z tests, the Arrow Lake-S ES model scored 12,922 points, lagging behind the i9-13900K by 22%, which achieved 16,922 points. This discrepancy is thought to stem from the difference in core counts between the chips. The i9-13900K features a total of 24 cores and 32 threads, whereas the Arrow Lake model is expected to include 8 performance cores and 16 efficient cores.
