The addition of the Cybertruck in the latest Fortnite update has sparked controversy among players, who are now uniting to destroy it on sight. Here are the details!
Cybertruck‘s introduction to Fortnite with the recent update has caused a major stir among players. The inclusion of Teslaโs Cybertruck in Epic Gamesโ popular battle royale game has led to players banding together to blow it up whenever they see it. This new vehicle is also available in Rocket League, but there it has not yet faced any issues.
Cybertruck‘s addition to Fortnite has not been well-received by both players and some developers The Tesla Cybertruck was added to Fortnite and Rocket League on July 23. This vehicle is offered as a free reward to players who complete specific tasks in the Summer Road Trip missions. Players who complete these missions not only add a Cybertruck to their garage but also earn rewards like the Green Day Jam Track, Back Bling, wheels, and a broken glass cosmetic.
However, instead of welcoming this new vehicle, many players are uniting to blow up the Cybertruck whenever they see it. On Reddit, users have commented that the vehicle is “overpriced” and reminiscent of the unloaded textures from the Cyberpunk game of 2020.
Itโs not just the players; some Epic Games developers have also expressed dissatisfaction with this new content. Fortnite associate producer Robby Williams posted on X/Twitter, urging, โBlow it up on sight.โ
Epic Games producer Kyle Wynn also supported the players’ reaction, reminding that companies are made up of individuals with different opinions, and stated, โYes, focus on it when you see it.โ
Fortnite players have recently been bombarded with new content, including Pirates of the Caribbean skins, the Fortnite Reload mode, and Fallout content. The game is currently in Chapter 5 Season 3, with Season 4 expected to start in mid-August. The exact reason behind the hatred towards the Cybertruck remains unclear.
