Elon Musk Fills Mall Parking Lot with 300 Unsold Teslas

Elon Musk has filled mall parking lots with Teslas to store unsold vehicles as production outpaces sales. Once again, Tesla has done what it does best, this time transforming shopping malls into Tesla parking lots. With Elon Musk’s rapidly growing automotive empire, the production rate has surpassed sales, leaving the company wondering where to store the surplus cars. Here’s the fate of hundreds of unsold Tesla vehicles…

Elon Musk Fills Mall with 300 Unsold Teslas

The Chesterfield Mall near St. Louis in the United States has been converted into a new parking lot for Tesla’s excess vehicles. Yes, the place where you once went shopping is now officially a Tesla showroom. While Chesterfield Mall used to be a destination for shopping enthusiasts, it is now overflowing with Tesla’s unsold electric vehicles.

In fact, the mall is slated for demolition for a $2 billion mixed-use project very soon. However, until demolition, the mall’s owner, the Staenberg Group, has decided to provide parking services for Tesla. Tim Lowe, Senior Vice President of Tesla’s group, stated that there was insufficient parking capacity at Tesla’s local dealership, so they decided to lease the mall parking lot.

Currently, there are at least 300 Tesla vehicles parked in the mall parking lot. Drone footage from Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California, revealed that vehicles are still being rapidly produced and filling up factory parking lots. Additionally, not all Teslas are left only in mall parking lots.

In Europe, in the town of Neuhardenberg, Germany, complaints have arisen about increased noise due to vehicles parked by Tesla near the regional airport. It’s safe to say that Germans don’t particularly enjoy noise.

Tesla’s strategy has drawn attention as both an indicator that the company’s production capacity is outpacing sales and has sparked criticism. So, what does this situation mean for Tesla’s future? It seems that coping with the challenges brought about by rapid growth won’t be easy for Tesla. What are your thoughts on Elon Musk leaving surplus Tesla vehicles in mall parking lots and airports?
