In an effort to soften the impact of the recent price hike, Microsoft is planning to add major titles to Xbox Game Pass, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 might just be the first big addition.
Modern Warfare 3 May Join Xbox Game Pass
Following its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft has begun incorporating major titles from the publisher into its subscription service. The inclusion of Diablo 4 in Game Pass earlier this year was a significant move, and now, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is rumored to be next. Industry insider Tom Henderson has hinted that an announcement for Modern Warfare 3’s addition to both Xbox and PC Game Pass could be imminent.

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, the 2021 installment of Modern Warfare 3 continues the storyline of the Modern Warfare series. The game is noted for its action-packed campaign, multiplayer modes, and an open-world zombie co-op mode supported by Treyarch, all of which have been well received by fans.
Changes to Xbox Game Pass
Microsoft has confirmed upcoming significant changes to the Xbox Game Pass service. These adjustments will take place before the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 this October. Notably, the basic subscription package will no longer include day-one releases, marking a pivotal shift in the service’s offerings.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25th and will be available on Game Pass, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 on its launch day.
