Asus wanted a fortune for a small graphics card repair

A company recently demanded an exorbitant fee for repairing a minor issue with the power connection of a GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, deeming it outside the warranty. This incident highlights how even renowned brands sometimes fall short in terms of customer service. Asus, in particular, has faced significant criticism recently.

According to a Reddit post garnering support, a user noticed a problem with the power connection of a newly purchased Asus GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. They promptly reported the issue to the technical service. However, the technical service deemed the GPU non-functional, categorizing the graphics card as beyond warranty and demanded a repair fee significantly exceeding its $2799 retail price. Feeling that all warranty conditions had been met, the user sought help on the Reddit platform.

As criticism on Reddit continued, the user escalated the issue to Asus’ CEO office. In response, a specialized technical team was assigned to address the user’s problem. Since there were no identical RTX 4090 graphics cards available in stock, the user was reimbursed the full purchase amount, including taxes.
