Porsche has officially launched the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic 911 Turbo. This special edition combines powerful performance with a retro-inspired interior, and as expected, it captivates with its stunning exterior design. Here’s a closer look at the details of this anniversary model.
Retro Vibes Inside the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition
To mark the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo, Porsche has crafted a special model named the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition. Revealed today, this new vehicle comes with a price tag that reflects its exclusivity, but its performance justifies the cost. The car is powered by a 3.7-liter six-cylinder petrol engine, delivering a whopping 640 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. With an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, the 911 Turbo grips the road with precision, thanks in part to being 0.4 inches lower than the Turbo S.
While the design of the 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition doesn’t stray far from its roots, it pays homage to the 1973 RSR Turbo with side decals. Porsche has also introduced a unique color called Turbonite for the wheels and badges. However, the most special features are found inside the car.
A Retro Interior with Modern Touches
Stepping into the interior, the first thing that catches the eye is the plaid upholstery, a nod to classic Porsche designs. The 911 Turbo also features a glovebox (another retro touch), sport seats, a large infotainment screen, and a stylish gear knob, all contributing to an aesthetic that blends old with new. For those seeking even more vintage flair, Porsche offers a Heritage Design package.
As for the price, the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition is set at $263,000. What do you think of the new 911 Turbo? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
