The 2024 BYD Qin PLUS has been caught on camera, showcasing some exciting updates to both its exterior and interior design. The new BYD Qin PLUS brings subtle yet impactful changes to its exterior. Although it retains the general lines of the current model, the headlights and front grille have been redesigned, giving it a fresh look. The side profile remains largely consistent with the existing model, but the wheel design has seen some noticeable updates.
At the rear, thereโs speculation that the traditional “BYD” logo may be replaced with the full “BUILD YOUR DREAM” text, aligning with a growing trend in automotive branding. As for the interior, the new Qin PLUS maintains a familiar layout but introduces key updates that enhance its modern appeal. A floating-style central screen and a digital instrument cluster are among the highlights.
The center consoleโs horizontal lines are more pronounced, and the climate control vents along with the phone storage compartment have been reimagined for better functionality and aesthetics. The crystal gear knob and multi-functional button layout have also been refined to provide a more intuitive user experience.
In terms of performance, the new BYD Qin PLUS is expected to come with significant updates to its powertrain. It will feature the DM 5.0 technology, offering versions with 80 km and 120 km pure electric range. The car will be powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, capable of delivering 74 kW of maximum power and 126 Nm of peak torque. This engine boasts a thermal efficiency of 46.06%, the highest in the world, and a fuel consumption rate of just 2.9L per 100 km, with a total range of 2100 km.
