Porsche Dismisses CEO Due to Sales Decline!

Porsche has removed the CEO of Porsche China due to declining sales figures. Alexander Pollich has been appointed as his replacement. The company, which has not seen the expected returns from the Chinese market for some time, hopes the leadership change will improve sales figures. Porsche China CEO Kirsch was dismissed, and Alexander Pollich was appointed in his place.

How Are Porsche’s Sales? Recently, we reported that Porsche’s sales were declining. The automotive giant saw a decrease of up to 51% in certain models in the first six months of this year compared to last year, and it faces a similar situation in China. Historically, Porsche has been known as the world’s largest in China, but the recent surge in electric vehicles in the country has led to a significant downturn. China, becoming a hub for electric vehicles with both its own brands and others, has seen a sharp drop in sales of internal combustion engine vehicles. Porsche was also affected by this trend. The company blamed the sales decline on its China CEO, Michael Kirsch, and replaced him with experienced executive Alexander Pollich.

This appointment is not due to Kirsch’s failure. Kirsch has achieved great success in China so far, but he is now making way for the more experienced Pollich, who has fought on many fronts. Pollich plans to regain market momentum with new Macan and Panamera models and a renewed electric vehicle strategy.

The automotive industry is currently going through a turbulent period due to electric vehicles. On one hand, significant electric vehicle sales are being recorded, while on the other, sales are plummeting. Companies are still undecided about which vehicles to produce and sell in which regions. It remains to be seen if the company can achieve its desired sales figures for both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles.
