Changes in the Box Contents of Xiaomi Smartphones!
In the past, phone manufacturers would pack their boxes with a variety of accessories to make their devices more appealing. These included colorful phone cases, OTG cables, different types of data transfer cables, and wireless earphones. This not only made the device more attractive but also resulted in considerably larger boxes. However, today, popular brands, particularly Apple and Samsung, place less emphasis on what’s included in the box. Brands like Realme, Oppo, Infinix, and Vivo still tend to include more accessories, such as transparent cases which are sometimes hard to find elsewhere. Xiaomi used to be among these brands, but things seem to be changing.
While the brand has not officially announced this change, emerging news and leaks suggest that Xiaomi is reducing its box contents. Notably, the brand has removed the charging adapter from the box of the Redmi 13 model shipped to Europe.
This move indicates that Xiaomi is also making changes, likely due to rising costs. By reducing the box contents, Xiaomi can either keep the prices of its devices more affordable or increase profit margins. Apple and Samsung have also adopted this approach, initially justifying it under the theme of “sustainability” while the underlying reason appears to be cost-related.
