Some Settings Will Be Restricted The source specifically reports on three hidden functions responsible for checking the activation of the operating system. One of these is listed as msEdgeLockSettingsInNonActivatedOS. When triggered, users will see the following notification: “We noticed that your Windows is not activated, and some settings have been restricted.”
Which Edge features will be unavailable for computer owners with unactivated Windows has not yet been specified. However, leaked information suggests that basic customizations such as changing tab settings, personalized content from MSN, and theme adjustments may be banned.
