Apple Vision Pro Hits International Markets

Apple has fulfilled its promise by launching the Vision Pro internationally. As of June 27, the Apple Vision Pro is no longer exclusive to the U.S. but is now available in international markets including China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Deirdre O’Brien, Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple, made the announcement during her visit to an Apple store in Beijing. When will it reach Turkey?

Global Launch of Apple Vision Pro

Announced during the WWDC 2024 event, the expansion of the Vision Pro into international markets was much anticipated. Starting June 27, pre-orders have opened in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, with the official launch set for July 12.

The Vision Pro is introduced by Apple as an experimental product, aiming not necessarily for high sales figures but to forge and explore a new market. However, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the device might see modest demand internationally due to its high price and limited app support.

Additionally, issues such as the device’s weight and overheating problems could negatively affect comfort during extended use, particularly in the summer months. Apple plans to launch a more affordable and lighter version of the Vision Pro, which will function more as a companion device to the iPhone rather than as a standalone unit. This strategy aims to make the technology accessible to a broader audience at a more reasonable price point.

With the international launch of the Vision Pro and the upcoming release of visionOS2 in the fall, it will be interesting to see the impact this new device will have on the global market. What are your thoughts on this development? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section below.
